Show Bios
Chris Smyth (Captain Evans, Modern Wolf) has been in many shows before! He loves to act, dance, sing, skate, tumble, and hang out with his friends. He is 14 years old and will be attending Highland High School in the fall. He has done many shows with State 48 Theatre Company and with Andrea, including Pirates a Love Story, Hamlet in Three Rings, Sleeping Beauty, Jekyll and Hyde, Villains, Scarlet Pimpernel, Cinderella,Murder at Sunset, Anne of Green Gables, and Merlin and Morgana. He would like to thank, Andrea, Karli, Delmy, his parents, and all of his friends for helping him through tough times and encouraging him to do more shows.
Savannah Glenn (Little Red Shadow) is so excited to be in another show with State 48! She has been in a previous production, Merlin and Morgana, and can’t wait to begin Pirates of Penzance later this year. She loves everything music and is excited to keep exploring theatre. Savannah is 14 and will be attending Mountain View next school year. She would like to thank all her amazing directors, stage manager, and everyone who helped make this experience possible with their incredible work, along with her family who always support her in everything she does.
Sydney Glenn (Willa and Lt. Ice ) is very pleased to get to do her 5th show. She loved her previous roles as Condora (Merlin and Morgana), Felicity and Villager 1 (Frankenstein), Tanner (Cinderella), and Mickey (Murder at Sunset ). She is almost 12 years old and is going to be attending Stapley Junior High. She loves all the wonderful people at State 48 and wants to thank them for making all these amazing productions happen! She would like to thank her family for supporting her in everything.
Lainey Glazebrook (Little Red Riding Hood) is very excited to be in this show because this is her second lead role. This is the thirteenth show she has been in. Lainey is 13 years old and goes to ALA. She loves to sing, act, and dance. She takes dance at Fuse PAC and does pre teen jazz, tap, hip hop, and is in the show choir, Wildfire. She is very thankful for Karli and Andrea for all the support. She also wants to thank her family for everything. Lainey loves this theater family so much!
Grace Davis (Grandma, The Wolf of White Chapel, WW2 Extra) is so happy to get the chance to perform again! Especially with all these great people! Some of her hobbies are acting, singing, dancing, and hanging out with her friends. She is 14 years old and can’t wait to attend Mountain View in the fall. She has been with State 48 for about a year now and she has loved every second. Some of her favorite productions include Murder at Sunset (Gwen), Anne of Green Gables (Jane Andrews Sr.), Merlin and Morgana (Ravenna), and Peter Pan (Smee) at Poston Jr High. She would love to thank her family, Andrea, Karli, Delmy, Calli, Amy, and of course all of her amazing friends. She loves them all, and hopes you enjoy the show!
Savannah Wetch (Babette and Tante Belle) is delighted to be part of her first State 48 production. Some of her most recent roles were in Winnie The Pooh Christmas Tale at VYT, Frozen Jr. at QCPAC and Cookies ‘n Crime at her school, South Valley Jr High. But if she isn’t on stage, you’ll find her playing on the softball field, singing, or fostering animals in need. She is so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of another great cast and can’t wait see the whole theater community return to the stage again… the show must go on!
Owen Fisk (Rescue Officer, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Ambassador) is an eighth grader at LFPA Gilbert. He has done several shows around the valley. His favorites include, Bugsy Malone (AYT), Mary Poppins (AYT), Beauty and the Beast (Zao Theatre), Our Town (Zao Theatre), and Seussical (Zao Theatre). When Owen is not performing he enjoys hanging out with friends, playing a good board game, and hiking. This is Owen’s first show at State 48 and he cannot wait to work with this amazing cast and crew!
Noah Giles (LT. Von Wolfen and Sherlock Holmes) is a Freshman at ALA Gilbert North. He’s done many shows with State 48 including, Merlin and Morgana, Anne of Green Gables, Murder at Sunset, The Scarlett Pimpernel, and many more. He loves music, acting, and performing. Noah would like to thank Andrea for always being an amazing director in every show he’s done with her, Delmy for being an amazing stage manager, Karli for giving him so many opportunities to develop and grow as a performer, and everyone who pushes him to be a better performer!
Paula Connors (La Petite Chaperon Rouge, Suzanne De Tournay) is 13 years old and going into 9th grade at Skyline High School in the fall. She is so excited to be in this show yet again! The first time she did it with Andrea, she played Little Red Shadow. Some of her favorite roles include Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood and His Merry Men and Heloise in CinderElla. When she’s not performing onstage, she enjoys hanging out with friends, writing short stories, and drawing. She would like to thank Andrea and Karli for being great mentors, her mom for being her constant support giver, and the Nelson family, not only for their great friendship but for their teaching and inspiration.
Lindsay French (Lady de Tournay and Red Shadow Mina) is very excited to be in her first show at State 48! She is 12 years old and will be attending LFPA as a 7th grader in the fall. Her prior roles include Stevie in Footloose (AYT), Middle Elsa in Frozen Jr (AYT) and Iris Kelly in Fame Jr (AYT). In her spare time she enjoys dancing, gymnastics, and drawing. She would like to thank Andrea for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful cast!
Emma Fosburgh (Lady Red) is thrilled to be in her first play! She is loving this experience with State 48! She is 15 years old and is entering her Sophomore year at Mountain View. She is excited to be doing Pirates of Penzace later this year. In her leisure time, she enjoys dancing, painting, and hanging out with her friends. Emma would like to thank Andrea for this part and this opportunity! She would also like to thank her friends for introducing her to this program at State 48!
Brenna Palmer (Victorian Little Red Sneak/Medeival Orphan) Is nearly 9 years old and will be a 4th grader at a public Charter School way up north in Anthem, AZ. She has been very excited to do this production and is enjoying the fun of learning accents! Brenna began acting at the age of 5 and this is her tenth production overall and her first with State 48. She has appreciated the help her older sister and crew gave her on her characters. Some of her other favorite roles have been Downy in The Ugly Duckling, Cook in The Princess King, Teacher in Children’s Letters to God and Baby Rabbit in The Velveteen Rabbit. Brenna studies dance and piano and helps out with laundry and dishes at home. She hopes you enjoy the show and wishes everyone B-A-L!
Gracie Palmer (Grandmother Rouge, and Helene) will be an 8th grader in Anthem this coming year. Gracie began acting with local community theaters at the age of 5. This is Gracie’s first production with State 48, (and she would like to keep doing shows with them even though it’s a bit of a drive) and her second production with Ms. Andrea McFeely (she played Cornelia the Equestrian and an acrobat in Andrea‘s brilliant play “Hamlet: A Tragedy in 3 Rings” at Pinnacle Creative Arts). Some of Gracie’s other favorite roles have been Jane Banks in Arizona Broadway Theatre’s Mary Poppins, Young Miss Foley and Carnival Acrobat in Something Wicked This Way Comes with Black Box Phoenix, and Velveteen in The Velveteen Rabbit. She hopes you enjoy this filmed production of “The Possibly True Tales of Little Red Riding Hood”!
Evie Arnold (Maman and Hiker 2) is 14 and will hopefully be a Freshman at Highland High this fall. This is Evie’s twelfth show and she’s happy to be a part of LRRH! Some of her favorite roles include Lena (Murder at Sunset), Derryth (Sleeping Beauty), Floor (Villains), and Priscilla Grant (Anne of Green Gables), all with State 48. When Evie is not on stage, she enjoys not being productive during quarantine, teasing her brother, watching tv, being bored, waiting for marching band, and having an all around good time. She would like to thank Andrea for casting her in this unique show, Amelia for being the best costumer/person ever, marching band for being in late July, and everyone who supported and was in the show!
Owen Aspinall (Captain Chasseur and Resistance Fighter Lance) is 12 and will be going to Willis Jr High School. This is his third show at State 48, along with Hansel in Villains and Kenny in Murder at Sunset. Favorite roles at other theaters include Charlie Bucket (Willy Wonka), Timon (The Lion King), Tiny Tim (A Christmas Carol), and Linus van Pelt (YAGMCB). Owen likes math, Pixar, board games, and Pokemon. He thanks his mom, his sister Sophie, Andrea, and Millie for helping him. Fun fact: Owen is in every era of this show. Try to spot him in each one!
Parker Schackart (The Huntsman and Resistance Fighter Beau) is 15 years old and will be a sophomore at Calvary Chapel Christian High School in Tucson, Arizona. This is his first show with State 48 and he has enjoyed being a part of it. He has done multiple skits throughout Troubadour Theatre in Tucson. He is currently scheduled to attend NEXT Star Productions national showcase in LA this fall (if all goes as planned). When he is not on a stage, he enjoys listening to music, creating beats, playing video games, and creating YouTube videos. He’s also taken drum, keyboard, and guitar lessons and will soon begin singing lessons. He also enjoys cooking! Thank you for this opportunity.
Iris Giles (Modern Red) is 12 and will be in 7th grade at ALA Gilbert North this fall. This will be her 18th production. Some of her favorite roles have been Safie in Frankenstein (State 48), Tinkerbell in Lost In Neverland (Fuse PAC), and Young Morgana in Merlin & Morgana (State 48). Iris is also in Fuse’s show choir, Wildfire, and currently in rehearsals for The Nicest Kids in Town with Fuse PAC. Iris loves playing the piano and cello, writing songs, watching Youtube, and hanging out with friends. She would like to thank the staff at State 48 for allowing her to be a part of this unique experience.
Carson Giles (Wolf and Red Shadow Bolt) is 11 and will be a 6th grader at Quartz Hill Elementary. This is Carson’s 11th show. Some of his previous roles have been Toto in The Wizard of Oz (Fuse PAC) Grumpy in Villains (State 48), Vicompte de Tournay in The Scarlet Pimpernel (State 48), and Charlie Sloane Jr. in Anne of Green Gables (State 48). In his free time Carson loves playing video games, board games, and hanging out with friends. He would like to thank Andrea, Karli, and his family for all their support and guidance.
Erin Garner (Lady Loupe, Diana LeGrande, and Collaborator) is 16 and entering her Junior year at DRHS. She has been onstage as long as she can remember, and is thrilled to be working with State 48 again! Some of her favorite roles include Morgana (Merlin and Morgana), Claire Clairmont (Frankenstein), Witch Gothel (Villains), Phoebe (Murder at Sunset), Winnifred Banks (Step in Time), Molly (Annie), Jojo (Seussical Jr.), Jafar (Aladdin Jr.), Katherine (Jekyll & Hyde), Star Gazer (Lost in Neverland), and many more! During the school year, she also enjoys being in Wildfire at Fuse PAC. She would like to thank Andrea, Delmy, Parker, Amelia, Karli, and the amazing cast, crew, and volunteers that made this show possible (even under these crazy circumstances!) and of course her friends and family for always supporting her! She hopes you enjoy the show.
Laura Flood (Marta, Red Shadow Lift and Lana) age 11 is so excited to be in this production! Laura is a spunky honor roll student and 7th grader at Legacy Traditional Academy. Laura enjoys dancing, singing, acting and being with her friends. Laura gives thanks to everyone that has supported her in this thing she loves.
Sophie Aspinall (Lizette, Ensemble) is so excited to make her State 48 debut, and thrilled to share this moment with her brother Owen. Favorite roles include a meerkat in Lion King Jr and an Oompa Loompa in Willy Wonka, both at Limelight Youth Theatre. Sophie will be starting 4th grade next month. She loves Tic Tac Toy, unicorns, mermaids, and beating her brother in board games. She thanks her family for supporting her and Andrea, Millie, Delmy, and Parker for their time and effort in producing Little Red.
Jayme Cole (Hiker 1 and Mama). This is Jayme’s second play with State 48 and she absolutely loves it. She was previously seen in Merlin and Morgana as Sansvie. She is 12 yrs old and will be in 7th grade at Taylor Jr High. In her free time she likes to read and edit pictures from gacha life/gacha club. She also likes video games and the computer. She wants to thank her family and Miss Bobbi for supporting her and making things happen. She also thanks Andrea, Karli and Delmy for all they do.
